About the Department of Food Science & Technology

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Food Science and Technology Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology and minors in Food Technology for Companion Animals and Fermentation Science. The department also offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.

Major areas of research at University of Nebraska-Lincoln include: dietary bioactive compounds and functional foods; food allergens; food preservation and transformation; food safety; biocomputing and data science; and diet, microbiome, and host interactions in human health.
