About the Department of Food Science & Technology

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Food Science and Technology Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Technology for Companion Animals. The department also offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.

Major areas of research at University of Nebraska-Lincoln include: digestive wellness including functional foods; food allergens; food processing and transformation; food safety; and study of the gut microbiome.
