Welcome to our eBook LibGuide. This LibGuide will help you find information on eBooks available in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries. It will also provide some general information on eBook hardware, software and the latest news pertaining to eBook publishing and Library collection development.

Home Access

When using these resources off campus you will be prompted to enter your last name and NU ID number to verify you are either employed by University of Nebraska-Lincoln or a student at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Enter your last name and NU ID number as it appears on your N Card then click the Submit icon and use the resource as usual.

What are eBooks?

What is an eBook?

An eBook (Electronic Book; E-Book; Digital Book)  is the digital version of a printed book, or a full length book text that is published or converted to digital format to be viewed on the computer, dedicated ebook readers and mobile phones.

What eBook collections do we have at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?
We have many eBook collections and individual eBook publications available from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries. You can find them by searching the University of Nebraska-Lincoln catalog or by going to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln eBook Collections page of this LibGuide.

How do I read E-Books?
All eBooks have links that open the documents that you can read on your computer when you are on campus.  To access the books when you are off campus follow the instructions above in the section on the "University of Nebraska-Lincoln eBook Access" box.

What software do I need to read the eBooks?
All of our e-Books are PDF, ePUB or HTML format. See "Devices, Software and Apps" for more information.
