This LibGuide provides instructions for processing patron requests submitted in Alma. UNL users will be able to submit request for loans and articles/book chapter scans via Primo (the patron interface of Alma). University of Nebraska library users at UNK, UNO, and UNMC will also be able to request loans of physical materials via our networked Primo/Alma.
Alma requests will not be printed and distributed centrally by the Resource Sharing staff at Love. Requests submitted via Primo/Alma are linked to specific item records. Using this holdings information, ALMA allows the holding library to print requests for items located in their stacks. All movement of requested items and steps in the request filling process will be tracked within Alma. The information provided on these pages show the steps needed to move a request through the ALMA processes and supply the item as a loan or scan. We have also added a page that provides examples of filled requests in ALMA to allow site processers verify that requests are updated properly and users are receiving requested materials.
