RefWorks Basics

RefWorks is a web-based citation manager, provided free-of-charge to UNL students, staff, and faculty by the University Libraries. You can continue to access and use your account after graduation.

Use the information below to guide you in

  • setting up an account and installing useful tools,
  • importing and organizing citations and digital files, and
  • using RefWorks with Microsoft Word to create a bibliography and in-text citations while writing.
