About Course Materials Review

The University Libraries, a key partner in UNL’s Successful Teaching with Affordable Resources (STAR) initiative, support instructors’ efforts to provide students access to affordable, relevant course materials. Libraries faculty will consult with instructors across campus who seek to discover more affordable or open course materials to meet their teaching and learning goals. Instructors may request a course materials consultation by sharing a syllabus or current course materials or reading list. Grant funds are available for instructors who choose to replace all or some of their current course materials with no or low-cost alternatives.

Benefits for students:

  • No-cost online options to course materials, whenever available
  • Access to course materials provided Day 1 of the course, in support of student learning and success
