There are no planned service interruptions scheduled at this time.
20 June 2025: Due to a provider error, UNL users are currently being denied access to New England Journal of Medicine. The provider is aware of the issue and is working to fix it.
5 March 2024: Addition of new content from the Lincoln Journal-Star and Omaha World-Herald (text version) to the Newsbank Access World News database has been delayed since the beginning of February, due to an issue with the original publisher. Other newspapers published by Lee Enterprises may also be affected. The provider is aware of the issue and is working to add the recent content.
27 May 2025: Nexis Uni commands to "Send to OneDrive" and "Send to Google Drive" from the search results list are not currently working when connecting via library-supplied (proxied) links. The provider is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. These commands will work when connecting from a campus computer using this link, though Google and OneDrive security settings may need to be adjusted to allow access.
Ongoing: Users may see links to various online resources returning a blank page, or various HTTP errors. These issues are typically due to interference from cookies and other files cached in the user’s browser, and can often be resolved by clearing the browser’s history, or using a different browser, and then retrying the link. Clearing only the cookies specifically for the website affected may also be an effective solution. See the Libraries FAQ on this subject.
1 July 2025: From July 1, UNL users will access the SciFinder database by logging in with their UNL credentials (“single sign on”). Existing accounts previously created with unl.edu email addresses will be automatically identified, with a prompt to link them to the new login. If an existing account is not identified in this way, the user will be able to search manually in order to make the link.
3 June 2025: UNL's subscribed EBSCO databases have migrated to the new EBSCOhost platform. Users who saved searches or created custom folders on the old interface will need to follow the steps on this page to migrate these features to the new platform.
4 April 2025: UNL’s IBISWorld database subscription now includes state-level Industry Reports for Nebraska and as well as an Economic Profile for the state. To access these new reports, go to the “Products> United States Products” menu on the IBISWorld site, and choose “State Industry Reports” or “State Economic Profiles”.
