Zotero's great if you are:

  1. Writing a thesis or dissertation
  2. Needing to store, organize, and manage many resources
  3. Collaborating and need to share sources

Zotero's not so great if you are:

  1. Writing a short paper
  2. Working with a small number of resources (< 10)
  3. Too stressed/busy to learn a new tool

A simpler solution

Zotero allows you to attach PDFs, notes and images to your citations, organize them into collections for different projects, and create bibliographies.
