What is instructional Design and how is it applicable to our instruction?

This session will discuss using backward design principles to help design a “one-shot” instructional session that focuses on student engagement and assessing efficacy.

In this session participants will:

identify elements of backward design.
scope learning for a typical “one-shot” instructional session.
discuss assessments for determining efficacy of the “one-shot” instructional session.

This session will help participants understand the value of peer review and self-reflection.

In the session participants will:

discuss the peer review process, the expectations of the reviewee and the role of the reviewer.
discuss the value of the peer review and its impact on teaching and library practice.
Discuss the many ways peer review is captured for Promotion and Tenure in libraries.
