Building Research Confidence Unworkshop Series

Materials and resources

Need help getting started with your research project but don't know where to start? Have questions about finding, evaluating, organizing, or sharing your research but don't know who to ask? Build your research confidence in this Zoom-based "unworkshop" series, hosted by the University Libraries and targeted to the research needs of graduate students. Each unworkshop focuses on a different stage of the research lifecycle, and provides an informal environment to ask questions and get help. Discussions will be driven by the interests and needs of those in attendance. Librarians from the University Libraries will facilitate. Attend one, attend them all, or anything in between. Following each unworkshop, we will also distribute key information asynchronously via the Libraries' website.

The research life cycle. 1. Project managing your research. 2. Imagining and developing your research focus. 3. Discovering fundamental information. 4. Managing, storing, and organizing your research. 5. Systematic approaches to reviewing the literature 6. Preparing for sharing your research.
