Checking out books and getting directional assistance:  Love South First Floor AskUS.  Phone:  402-472-9568

Delivery / Interlibrary Loan  -- purpose is to bring journal articles and books to you at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, when the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries do not provide an electronic version of the article or a print or microform copy of the book.  Journal articles generally come as PDFs within 24-72 hours and books average about one to two weeks from request to arrival.  Service is free of charge in most instances; Library always checks with a requester if the loan will cost anything.

 You can also use your  Delivery / Interlibrary Loan account to request books or articles from the LDRF and other University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries outside of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln library you usually use. 

In Love Library, Delivery / Interlibrary Loan is located at the Love South First Floor AskUS area.

MIcroform to PDF:  You can scan microformat works into PDFs using equipment in Media Services in Love Library.  Located in Love Library, the second floor Link between the north and south buildings,

Reference Assistance – Contact the appropriate Subject Librarian for assistance.  The Second Floor AskUS area in Love Library's Link, between the north and south buildings is staffed many hours that the library is open.  During weekdays from 8:00-3:00, you usually can work with a librarian or a highly trained paraprofessional staff member; after 3:00 p.m. and on weekends, a student assistance will provide you with a basic level of assistance. 

Citation Tools—use one of the citations tools to build your own database of citations.  You can send citations directly to them from many databases and also “import” or manually add them.  You can create “folders” for different projects.
