Black Studies Center

This new African American Studies database provides access to current articles and primary sources like, Chicago Defender 1910-current.  There is also a historic timeline and some video clips that are also included.  Key resources include International Index to Black Periodicals, Schomburg Essays on the Black Experience, and the Black Literature Index.

American History in Video

American History in Video is a new history online database that allows people to see history through quality and scholarly videos from America's past. There are news clips and transcripts from Universal Studios, documentaries from PBS and the History Channel publishers, and videos that document history.  American History in Video also allows people to search and embed clips of videos for presentations and analyze actual footage from government press releases.  Key historical eras for further research are Civil Rights, Aparteid, Jazz Era.  To search for topics, go to http://0-ahiv.alexanderstreet.com.library.unl.edu/
