The 2020 Practicing Pedagogies committee has been busy organizing our annual teaching professional development. We hope that you will be able to attend if not in person, then from your home office.

This year the theme is "From Planning to Practice". Sessions include panel discussions, lightning rounds and presentations on instructional design; online instruction and our response during COVID-19 period; creating and using online tutorial software.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from your colleagues and discuss issues relating to teaching, learning and researching information literacy.

Morning Sessions 10:00 am -12:00pm

Designing for Bite-size Instruction
Explore new ways to design an in-person or online one-shot instruction session to make your instruction more active and engaging.

Tutorial Design and Digital Teaching Tools
Let's talk about digital tools and their use in the online teaching environment. In teach breakout room, staff and faculty from each campus will share their experience with an online tutorial and teaching tools: Lib Wizard, Press Books and VidGrid.

Afternoon Sessions 1:00 pm - 3:15 pm

Peer Review and Self-Reflection
Learn more about the process and value of peer review and its impact on teaching and learning.

Covid-19 Response: Adjusting to Online Instruction
Time to share our experiences with online instruction, distance education and our response to the social distancing during the Covid-19 virus outbreak.
