Armstrong Undergraduate Journal of History
"We accept articles and essays, short stories, photography, other artistic/creative artifacts, travel and conference reports, as well as nonfiction, fiction, film, and television reviews. As an effort to promote the writing of history by undergraduate students, this journal especially welcomes short essays written by undergraduate students for their lower-level history courses, such as World Civilizations and American History."
Columbia Journal of History
"The Columbia Journal of History encourages undergraduate students to submit research papers and essays that relate to the field of history. We publish outstanding student research papers from seminars, upper-level electives, independent study and thesis programs." Published each summer and winter. Submission deadlines: February 1 and October 1.
Gettysburg College Journal of the Civil War Era
"The Gettysburg College Journal of the Civil War Era annually publishes undergraduate papers on the Civil War Era and its lasting memory. We are interested in academic essays, public history essays, and book reviews broadly relating to the American Civil War." Submission deadline: February 1.
Gettysburg Historical Journal
"The Gettysburg Historical Journal features original undergraduate student research and essays. It is produced by students at Gettysburg College and published annually. While the Gettysburg Historical Journal focuses on research in the field of history, we publish and encourage submissions from other disciplines that utilize historical viewpoints or methodologies, including sociology, anthropology, and classics." Submission deadline: February 28.
History Matters: An Undergraduate Journal of Historical Research
"History Matters is an undergraduate history journal that welcomes submissions from all undergraduates…We are especially seeking papers that utilize primary sources." Submission deadline: January 31.
Vanderbilt Historical Review
