Grants & Foundations: Federal Agencies

Federal Agencies

The federal government offers a number of grants to nonprofit organizations, including communities and educational organizations. Although ads for free government money are common, the federal government offers grants to individuals only for very specific and limited purposes. To find out about federal assistance for small business, see the Small Business Administration website at https://www.sba.gov/

https://grants.gov
Grants.gov serves two functions. It is a searchable database of grants currently available from federal agencies and it is the required system for making federal grant applications.
